We are looking for a highly analytical, self-directed individual with a strong work ethic who is excited by the opportunity to work closely with the firm’s Investment Team on the strategic operations that enable sustainable infrastructure investments at scale.
What you will be doing at Generate Capital as the Associate, Investment Operations:
- Work with the investment team to manage the company’s investment pipeline data using various resources such as the CRM platform
- Create dashboards, reports, and presentations for the company’s senior management, investor due diligence, and for business intelligence reporting including forecasting
- Run meetings with the investment team on forecasting, key investment and partner reviews, and strategy development
- Own business operations for performance management, KPI / OKR tracking and reporting, partner management and measurement
- Lead key workstreams within high-visibility strategic initiatives related to Generate’s growth and continuous improvement including the processes for investment decisions, technology solutions and measuring business and investor performance
- Create and implement frameworks to streamline workflows and reporting processes
- Contribute to systematic coverage of the markets and segments in which we operate
- Help manage data and define data governance best practices among Generate teams including Finance and Asset Management, in partnership with Data & Technology
- Craft and help shape internal communications and presentations for the Investment Team and internal partners to create alignment on priorities, implementation of processes and best practices
Candidate qualifications & core characteristics:
- A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission
- 2-5 years of work experience ideally in strategy & operations or business operations within management consulting, investment banking,private equity, or high-growth companies; including 1+ year(s) of financial analysis or financial modeling
- Experience managing projects from start to finish with superior organizational skills
- Commitment to a high standard of excellence, timeliness, and accuracy
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with CRM databases a plus
- Unimpeachable integrity and glowing references
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills.
- High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges
- Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving is your default mode

Generate’s compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $109,500 – $125,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
