This role is dedicated to bolstering our Advanced Analytics & AI practice. Our existing operational framework accommodates remote work with the ability to work onsite in Tysons, VA as needed. Responsibilities Analyzing complex processes from an enterprise perspective. Assessing operations, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and developing solutions. Evaluating alternative concepts using mathematical models, simulation tools, and supply chain theory. Documenting functional capability requirements for subsequent use as the basis for software development. Conducting and documenting results from functional software tests. Performing studies and analyses and generating technical documentation of the results. Creating and presenting briefings to communicate findings and recommendations Qualifications Current enrollment in a degree seeking program at an HBCU required Availability to work full-time for at least 10-12 weeks for summer 2025 Must be available starting at the end of May 2025 Pursuing a major in Engineering, Modeling & Simulation, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Math, Operations Research, Business Administration, or related fields. Basic proficiency with a variety of data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and database programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to compose and write a variety of internal and external documents, reports, and presentations. Strong interpersonal and listening skills required, with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within LMI and with its clients. Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication. Strong problem solving, time-management, and organizational skills. Strong planning skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritize assignments with minimum supervision. Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks and projects. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Access. Experience with Visual Basic for Applications and Java is highly desirable. Programming experience—ability to program and learn new programming languages quickly.
