Research areas that we are currently focusing on include reinforcement learning, learning from demonstration, generative modeling, Bayesian inference, hierarchical learning, and robust evaluation. You will: Solve research problems in enabling realistic scene reconstruction from real-world scenarios Prototype and iterate research ideas Present research findings to a wide audience within Waymo, with the goal of publishing results to the research community You have: Publications from top-tier 3D Computer Vision, Graphics, or Machine Learning conferences Experience in Neural Rendering (mesh, point clouds, gaussian splattings, NeRF) We prefer: Strong coding skills in Python and/or C++ Hands-on experience with deep neural networks and familiarity with at least one type of deep learning framework such as PyTorch, Jax, Tensorflow, etc Experience in robotics and autonomous driving technologies Note: This will be an onsite internship position.
