VP, GLOBAL CONTROLLER
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Vice President, Global Controller, to support the CFO in managing the organization’s financial activities and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role involves fluency between the controller and FP&A functions, including coordinated conversations about the business and financials (accounting operations, financial statements, budgets, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations). The VP, Global Controller, will be heavily responsible for establishing what a blue-chip accounting function should look like, putting standards and policies in place while driving KPIs, process improvements, and optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as the right hand of the CFO on all matters related to US GAAP and Financial Statements on a local and Global level for an accurate, timely and solid production of financial reports and solid internal control processes.
• Lead a team with 2 direct reports (total team size of 18) and ensure the transparency of resources for the Finance department to function efficiently.
• Lead the coordination of internal and external audits, including the preparation of supporting documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards. Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting operations and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; An active CPA license required.
• With 12+ years of experience working in finance, 5+ as a Controller in Aviation/ Aerospace, Manufacturing or Logistics in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience with mergers & acquisitions and/or private equity is required.
• An In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
• Strong experience with large/complex inventory analysis, warehousing of parts and an in-depth understanding of accounting software (ERP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Quantum Control Aviation Software is highly advantageous.
