In This Role You Will
- Be responsible for all testing activities on a subsystem and will coordinate broader activities as part of overall strategic vision.
- Work closely with the Manufacturing and Design teams to design, develop, document, and qualify test processes used during the manufacturing of electro-mechanical components and subassemblies of a medical robotics system.
- Develop test algorithms, test scripts, data acquisition and measurement systems with focus on repeatability and reproducibility.
- Write well design, testable code, automate test processes utilizing in-house developed test software and scripts.
- Develop, document, and release electro-mechanical manufacturing test fixtures utilizing both custom and off-the-shelf hardware and software.
- Perform failure analysis on electromechanical equipment.
- Perform failure analysis on custom and off-the-shelf software and test scripts.
- Release engineering documentation and bill of materials
- Contribute to all aspects of test development, coverage, drive execution and test results documentation.
- Drive qualification, validation, and Test Method Validation activities with focus on software validation.
- Provide detailed status and tracking of activities.
Qualifications- 0-2 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related engineering field is required.
- Experience in Medical Device industry is preferred.
- Experience in Robotics or Electro-Mechanical system software controls is preferred.
- Experience working on instrumentation automation and using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, SQL, Batch, Bash, or Linux commands is required.
- Proficiency in software engineering tools.
- Produce high quality documentation that is clearly understandable by internal and external personnel is required.
- Prior experience with test equipment and test fixture design is highly preferred.
- Experience in Product Lifecycle Management systems such as Oracle Agile is highly preferred.
- Intermediate understanding of electrical systems and power electronics is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10% to contract manufacturers is required.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $89,000 to $142,600.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
