ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Under direction of the Data Analytics Manager, serves as data analytics resource and operational improvement analyst to Agency executives and administrative staff. Extracts, indexes, merges, and manipulates large and multiple data sets into database and analytical formats to improve data management. Provides technical advice and presents recommendations to senior leadership in the development of survey questions and operational key performance indicators (KPIs). Identifies analytics projects that could bring significant value to the Agency. Attends and provides input in business meetings and training sessions to stay abreast of advancements in data science and project management. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in computer science, statistics, data analytics, mathematics, economics, or directly related fields. Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an Agency approved professional management training program. SPECIALIZED SKILLS Requires one (1) year of administrative experience in a data analytics or business analysis specialist role in a public or business organization. Requires one (1) year of professional experience developing prototypes in scripting languages such as but not limited to R or Python. Requires two (2) year of professional experience using data visualization or operational efficiency tools, such as Power BI, and/or Power Automate. Requires one (1) year of professional experience developing data analytic plans and methods of a program. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prefers two (2) years of professional experience providing data analytic services and creating and maintaining documentation. Prefers one (1) year of professional experience working with data sets commonly utilized for analysis in the public or private sector.
