We are hiring a Research Data Analyst (Research Analyst 3) to join our Office of Training, Investigations and Safety (OTIS) team. In this position you will assist ODHS and OHA programs and their designees in developing systems to organize, manage, and track data that supports informed decision making. This requires consulting with users to identify, plan, and develop forms and procedures for the collection, analysis, and use of data. Apply today!Summary of DutiesAs a Research Data Analyst, you will:Analyze data gathered by reviewing reports; compile statistics, graphs and tables associated with work assigned; apply computer aided research techniques to data.Organize, summarize, and present information, conclusions and recommendations to individuals and groups in writing and orally.Write computer report generator language or use software packages to retrieve, edit, and tabulate data from various databases and files.Extract, organize, and analyze data from multiple databases using printout, tables, graphs, and charts; apply forecasting techniques to historical and current data to predict fiscal or program impact; presents information to display trends, patterns, and progress.Plan projects within OTIS and across programs to provide agency leadership with accurate and timely information that support data informed decision making.Initiate and manage projects by identifying and gathering pertinent information using existing ODHS and OHA computer systems and reports.Gather information from various sources; review information from similar projects; interact with ODHS/OHA staff and stakeholders.Minimum Qualifications A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and one year experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.ORFour years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports.Essential AttributesWe are looking for candidates with:Demonstrated experience with business analytics software for connecting multiple data sources and creating visualizations.Experience with MS Access databases in an SQL server environment.Experience merging data sets from multiple data sources.Experience providing consultation and technical support to data consumers and analysts.Experience collaborating and coordinating with diverse groups concerning the analysis of data to make date informed decisions.Attention all candidates!
