Our servers and data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered.Hardware Analytics Engineer Intern ResponsibilitiesInterface with internal hardware and software engineers and operations teams to understand system architectures and failure modesProactively create experiments and data visualizations to detect and diagnose hardware health issues, focusing on systemic solutionsDevelop data pipelines and discover insights to answer relationship between hardware and data center parameters to server failuresTroubleshoot, diagnose, and root cause of system failures and isolate the components /failure scenarios while working with stakeholders internally and externallyShare insights with stakeholders and software teams to develop architectures to handle server failures based on hardware health dataMinimum QualificationsCurrently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fieldAnalytical experience using statistics or machine learning, in academia or industryData processing and visualization experience (SQL, Python, or R)Programming experience (Python or C++)Strong communication skills for working with and learning from hardware and software engineers and operations teamsMust obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employmentPreferred QualificationsCurrently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fieldExperience or coursework related to computer and systems architecture, statistics, machine learning, networking, or related fieldKnowledge of LinuxIntent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op For those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click here for additional information.
