In Arthrex Digital Innovation (ADI)’s Digital research group, we work on several forward-looking technologies like AI, AR, Sensors, etc. As an intern, you will help us work on concepts that will apply computer science, ML/Deep learning, etc, in computer vision, medical imaging, data analysis, etc. Our intern will treat each assignment as a product development process which includes clear requirements, documenting them, and validate and verify (V&V) to show the completeness of their work This internship will run from May 2025 – August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility. Main Objective: The main objective is to look for novel ways to solve some of the problems we are trying to solve to help our surgeons to treat their patients better leveraging latest technologies and algorithms in the areas of AI, medical imaging, sensor data analysis, Computer vision etc. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyzing data from past VIP(Virtual Implant Positioning) cases and correlated with outcomes tied to certain clinical parameters. Looking at public imaging datasets around knows come up with novel segmentation approaches for segmentation of soft issues as well other know hardware. Using latest AI algorithms like LLMs to create app for sales forces to answers any questions related to medical education, DFU/IFU etc. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or Physics with computational model background required (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.) Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Programming experience preferred. Be able to follow written and verbal direction. Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
