We use analytics to advise our clients on decarbonization strategies, forecast the adoption of distributed energy resources, understand the impact of customer energy programs (including energy efficiency, building and transportation electrification, load management), and more. As a Guidehouse intern, you will have an opportunity to perform a range of analytics-related activities supporting model development and client projects. Key responsibilities may include: Analyze large and complex data setsDevelop models leveraging statistical analysis, regression modeling, optimization, predictive modeling, simulation, machine learning, economic modelsProgram (Python, R) and use source code version control technologies (Git)Conduct research and analysis on energy-related activitiesAbility to work effectively with teams; work independently as neededWhat You Will Need:Minimum Years of Experience: 0 yearsMinimum Degree Pursued: Bachelor's Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited degree program in summer of 2025 and graduate by Summer of 2026)Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the countryNo sponsorship is available for this positionWhat Would Be Nice To Have:Academic Backgrounds Preferred: Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science/Computer Information Systems, Operations Research, Economics, Environmental Engineering/Science, Computational Physics or other analytics degreeKnowledge of analytical models, methods, applications and tools, such as statistical analysis, regression modeling, predictive modeling, simulation, machine learning and selecting and applying the right analytical techniquesAnalyzing large and complex data sets, with strong aptitude for conducting quantitative analysisProficiency in one or several programming languages, such as Python or RPassion for clean energy transition including energy efficiency and conservation, transportation and building electrification, solar/storage, decarbonization, resilienceExperience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environmentPossesses strong oral and written communication skillsProficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and slide presentation softwareHeightened attention to detail, and the ability to create and edit technical and non-technical written work products and graphical presentationsAbility to view problems from multiple angles and apply a variety of solutions to solving themAbility to participate in client-facing discussions and meetingsAbility to synthesize information quickly and learn new skillsThe annual salary range for this position is $59,900.00-$89,900.00.
