What You Will Learn Pratt and Whitney Puerto Rico is an Aerospace Engineering Center located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico who design, evaluate and support gas turbine engines, airframe systems, and other aerospace products in the areas of software, drafting, structures analysis, modeling, mechanical design, tool design and others.The Control & Diagnostics System (CDS) group at Pratt & Whitney Puerto Rico is currently looking for a motivated and talented COOP to join its Engine Diagnostics Prognostics Health Management (DPHM) Team. In this role, the applicant will get exposure to and learn engineering skills focused on airframe avionics integration, data wrangling and analytics development from a variety of aircraft flying V2500, NGPF and Military Engines. Data wrangling includes: data acquisition requirements for on-board avionics systems; conversion of flight data from binary to Engineering units; the validation of the data and storage to an enterprise accessible system. Analytics development involves working with SME’s to develop engine health monitoring capability which includes alerting and trending to assist engineering, aftermarket and airlines.Qualifications You Must Have Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Computer Engineering.Must be a U.S. Citizen.
