Job Purpose
This position is an incredible opportunity for a highly motivated individual to increase equitable access and use of technology while further developing sought-after expertise in the growing digital equity field. Building upon the Digital Navigator (DN) model, the Senior Program Manager will be key to refining and strengthening this scalable model through their work with digital navigator programs. A significant portion of the position will be managing current Digital Navigator initiatives, coordinating a working group of digital navigator programs, and managing other projects that more broadly support digital inclusion programs. The Senior Program Manager will collaborate with other NDIA team members to document the impact and best practices and disseminate broadly.

National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) advances digital equity by supporting community programs and equipping policymakers to act. We represent and support more than 1,800 US organizations working for affordable broadband, access to devices, and digital skills training and support.
Since 2015, NDIA has led and built the digital equity community throughout the US, creating a growing movement. NDIA supports digital inclusion practitioners with networking and community building, platforms to establish and share best practices, guidebooks, and tools that establish standards for digital inclusion programming. Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage training and technical assistance for digital navigator program clients.
- Build and cultivate relationships with digital inclusion programs to support NDIA’s community.
- Manage all program activities with contracted partners to include timelines, regular means of communication, activities for ongoing support, and documentation of program deliverables and project summaries. Includes monitoring project goals and objectives; making modifications to methodology, as required, to redirect activities and achieve objectives.
- Conduct trainings, presentations, and workshops on digital inclusion and the digital navigator model.
- Maintain and develop digital navigator training curriculum and resources as needed.
- Assess digital navigator and digital skills training materials.
- Develop training and technical assistance materials such as blog posts, toolkits, guides and briefs. Must be able to conduct research, write content, and lead working groups to gather and record feedback to inform published materials.
- Manage contracts and grants further defining the digital navigator model through practical application.
- Disseminate the Digital Navigator model and lessons learned nationally. Lead development of resources and gathering of community-created resources to be made publicly available.
- Participate in regional meetings and national conferences.
- In conjunction with NDIA team members, identify and develop additional opportunities for program and resource development to support digital inclusion programs.
- Assist in the planning and hosting of NDIA’s annual conference, Net Inclusion.
- We estimate travel at 10-20-%. Travel includes a minimum of two weeks per year to NDIA’s annual team meeting and to our Net Inclusion conference.

Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as program manager or other managerial position
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
- Effective and adaptive training and facilitation skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Must have knowledge of and experience with digital navigator programs and with leading training programs.
- Experience with adult education and/or curriculum development preferred
- An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support partners in different localities with dexterity.
- Ability to adapt to unexpected situations, navigate difficult conversations, and adapt to rapid changes.
- Excellent self-organization and cultural competency.
- Ability to creatively solve problems and negotiate and handle stressful situations in a positive manner.
- Ability to work independently and be self motivated in a remote work environment.
- Must have high-speed internet and workspace free from distraction, disruption or noise
- Ability to be on camera when attending work related trainings, meetings and/or events
- Must be able to sit or stand at desk for prolonged periods of time while working on a computer
