About the Firm

Axonic focuses on structured credit instruments, including commercial mortgage backed securities and loans, non-agency residential mortgage backed securities, agency credit risk transfers, high yield, private debt, mortgage and real estate related credit and equities, and various single-name and index credit default swaps.
About the Role
The software development team is at the epicenter of the firm’s pre/post trading and portfolio reporting functions. They directly interface with all business units and bring value additions with their thorough analyses, sustainable system designs and implementations. As a software engineer, you will present an excellent mix of technical problem solving and communication skills to ideate product features, working with the business units to deliver tactical and strategic solutions.
You will contribute towards the design, development, testing, and support of the firm’s software ecosystem, including these:
· Desktop applications for trade capture, portfolio allocation and risk management
· Core data-vending platform for reporting and analytics
· Monitoring framework for processes and infrastructure
· Bespoke Excel solutions
About the desired skillset
· Coding proficiency in the following languages (or similar): C#, Python, SQL
· Working proficiency in the following technologies: UI development preferably in desktop applications using WPF, API design for message exchanges, .NET framework
· Experience or interest in the following: Multithreading, memory and performance optimizations, process automation and monitoring, data analytics, software development best practices
· BS or MS in Computer Science
· Strong written and verbal communication
· 1+ years of work experience, preferably in the financial sector
