Job Description:The Positioning and Content Lead or Sustainable Transformation is a critical member of the Living Progress team which is responsible for advancing the company's Living Progress (Sustainability) reputation with the key influencers and stakeholder groups that our customers and investors turn to. Our mission is to enhance the business case for HPE products and services, deliver world class reporting, and drive leadership through our sustainability strategy.
This individual will lead the development of sales and customer materials and tools that convey HPE's sustainability value proposition and equip our sellers to successfully leverage sustainability as a competitive advantage. This individual will work closely with HPE technologists to support global customer engagements and sustainability thought-leadership activities related to topics such as IT efficiency, sustainability, circular economy, and supply chain programs. In addition, this individual will be accountable for creating positioning based on customer and market insights and maintaining key digital channels including the Living Progress website. The ideal candidate will have experience translating complex, technical concepts into audience-resonating positioning and compelling content. Lastly, the candidate will also be proactive, with the ability to navigate dynamic situations, prioritize tasks, and deliver against tight deadlines. This role will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to drive impact, enhance reputation, and contribute to business success.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and execute the positioning and enablement strategy for HPE's pan-HPE sustainability narrative,, partnering across the company to identify gaps, develop materials, ensure amplification and uptake, and continually evolve HPE positioning to address customer sentiments.
- Oversee the development of sales- and customer-facing materials and tools that convey HPE's sustainability value proposition and clearly articulate the company's narrative on sustainable IT and ESG topics based on market and competitive research, customer insights, and collaboration with our technologist and innovation teams.
- Maintain clearly articulated narrative on sustainable IT and ESG topics based on market and competitive research, customer insights, and collaboration with sustainability technologists. Ensure message consistency, accuracy, and quality with a keen eye for greenwashing.
- Partner with Communications to develop thought-leadership content highlighting HPE leadership and work closely with marketing teams to position this narrative in relevant campaigns and with key stakeholder groups
- Tactically execute key deliverables including videos, written articles, blogs, website guidance, thought leadership whitepapers, product deliverables, infographics, podcasts, presentations, message maps, ROI tools and sales resources, including promotion and amplification across digital outlets, working in partnership with subject-matter experts to convey progress and differentiation.
- Prepare executive-level communications, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including sustainability-related messaging that aligns with the company's Living Progress agenda, business goals, and shareholder expectations
- Partner with marketing to develop and maintain customer stories that showcase the sustainability benefits of HPE solutions
- Collaborate with our Communications teams to create relevant ESG communications to key internal and external stakeholders, including highlighting activities via digital and traditional channels and ensuring consistent messaging
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:- BA or BS in Engineering, Sciences, Business Communications, or Marketing discipline
- At least five years of experience in relevant roles
- Understanding of both technical and sustainability concepts is a plus
- Ability to translate complex, distributed and varied information into audience-resonating positioning and compelling content
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop deep content knowledge quickly
- Demonstrable experience in key areas such as messaging; copy writing for web, videos, and podcasts; key note presentations, and sales and technical training curriculum
- Creative thinking and ability to experiment with new concepts, platforms, and channels
- Comfortable with ambiguity and navigating fluid situations
