We are searching for a Software Engineer II, DSP in Scottsdale, AZ to develop amp models and effects for guitar and bass amplifiers. You will have the opportunity to learn from existing products, but also to chart the course for future technology-based amplifiers. You are a self-starter, with a proven ability to continuously learn on your own.
This is a hybrid role based out of Scottsdale, AZ.
Essential Functions:
- Develop amp model and effect algorithms and related technology
- Collaborate with coworkers as a member of a product-focused SCRUM agile team
- With guidance implement audio algorithms and application features in C++
- Compose unit tests
- Write development tools and test scripts in python
- Propose, document, and implement better ways of doing things
- Work with the product team to define features
Qualifications:
- 2+ years professional software development experience
- 1+ years C++ experience, embedded preferred
- 1+ years combined experience with other high level languages (Python, C, Java, C#)
- Experience developing digital audio effect algorithms, plugin experience beneficial
- Familiarity with amp modeling techniques
- Familiarity with guitar effect algorithms
- Real-time audio processing experience
- Everyday experience using Linux for development, including the command line
