About the Role
In this role, you’ll join the Data Science and Machine Learning (DSML) team responsible for developing innovative AI solutions in the fintech industry. Your contributions will have a significant impact on various customer touch points such as account access, identity verification, transactions, chatbots, ticket resolution, personalization etc. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, machine learning, and software engineering, while also possessing the ability to effectively collaborate with partners who have diverse skill sets. You will focus on building and deploying real-time and batch ML models and systems helping Chime to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of the fintech industry.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $176,490.00 and up to $245,100.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art AI/ML systems to solve various business problems.
- Analyze large structured & unstructured datasets to extract important insights and identify opportunities for AI/ML solutions.
- Proactively build advanced AI/ML techniques that can drive broad impact across multiple domains, improving overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical partners effectively.
- Proactively seek internal tooling and standardization opportunities to reduce ML model development time and improve end-to-end modeling experience.
- Actively engage with the data community at Chime by sharing knowledge, suggesting process improvements, and promoting technical standards.
To thrive in this role, you have
- Have 4+ years of industry experience developing AI/ML solutions from inception to business impact.
- Experience in working with advanced AI/ML techniques such as LLMs, embeddings, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) etc
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying advanced machine learning and deep learning model frameworks
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred) to enhance our ML infrastructure for model development, evaluation, and deployment at scale.
- Advanced data wrangling skills to create features and derive insights from many disparate data sources.
- Proficient in using various ML/DL toolkits, such as Huggingface, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, SparkML etc.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and experience working with cloud services like Sagemaker, Airflow, Snowflake, Spark, Redis, Kafka, etc.
- Strong passion for collaboration and effective communication with both technical and non-technical partners.
