We are seeking an experienced AI research engineer to join our team, building a state-of-the-art sales assistant. You’ll work alongside other talented research, ML, data, and software engineers to ship innovative agentic systems.
This is an in-person role at our San Francisco office (FIDI). Please be aware that due to the low success rate of the H1B visa lottery, we are unable to sponsor new visa applications.
Responsibilities
- Leverage state of the art research to improve our AI sales assistant
- Contribute new experiment ideas to the team
- Lead dataset collection/generation efforts
- Model/inference optimization
- Collaborate with ML and Data engineers on distributed training scripts
Requirements
- > 3 years experience working with production AI systems
- At least 1 publication as first author
- Strong understanding of LLMs - should be able to build GPT-1 in NumPy and work out backpropagation by hand for transformer blocks.
- Strong understanding of ML fundamentals
- Experience with distributed training
- Some exposure to production inference
- Experience with PyTorch
Bonus:
Experience building Agentic systems with task-specific models.Experience iterating AI products based on customer feedback.
