Rockstar Games is seeking an experienced UX Designer who is passionate about making their co-workers’ lives easier and their processes more efficient. The successful candidate will join our Core Tech: Online Tooling team who are focused on evolving our internal systems and tools. As part of this enabling team, they will collaborate with multiple teams to uncover workflows and build reusable solutions to meet their product needs.
The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplinary designer with robust experience design skills and a knack for making complex systems easy to access for non-technical users. This person should feel comfortable collaborating with other designers, engineers, and product managers across multiple teams, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and creativity.
This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.
WHAT WE DO
- Rockstar Games Online Services is a technology platform that powers Rockstar’s online titles and our ability to deliver world-class player experiences.
- We create and maintain high-impact features for Grand Theft Auto Online, Red Dead Online, the Rockstar Games Launcher, and the Rockstar Games website, as well as the core Rockstar Games player accounts ecosystem and related social and messaging channels.
- We also align technology and tools with our digital distribution platform to create solutions that enhance our games and empower various teams within Rockstar – including engineering, marketing, security, and customer support – to engage with our players.
- The Core Tech: Online Tooling team is responsible for our online tools application infrastructure and provides support to all teams needing to build tooling to manage an aspect of our online environment. We collaborate closely with teams across Rockstar, helping them to craft intuitive user-centered experiences for our fellow Rockstars.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with cross-functional team members to assist them with defining user needs, opportunity space, and functional requirements for internal tools and platforms.
- Understand and provide feedback on current workflows and their effectiveness, collaborating with product managers to ensure business and user needs are considered.
- Effectively communicate insights to a variety of stakeholders with different backgrounds.
- Design new, efficient, and intuitive workflows, encompassing user flows, task flows, wireflows, and design system compliance across many different teams with very diverse use-cases.
- Support the creation of components and layouts within our budding design system.
- Contribute to UX/UI best practice guidelines, and advocate for their adoption across multiple teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in HCI, UX/UI Design.
- Experience contributing to and utilizing a design system.
- 2+ years of professional experience in service design or SaaS (Salesforce, Adobe, Atlassian, Zendesk, etc) applications.
- Experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders with various levels of understanding of UX and information architecture.
- 2+ years of experience using modern design tools and workflows (Figma, Sketch App, Adobe XD, etc.).
- Experience with the design, creation, and documentation of business workflows.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

$85,700—$120,000 USD
