This role will be required to work in an office location 3 days per week in San Francisco.
Reporting to the Director of Product, Stealth Venture, you will be in a high-visibility, high-impact role as a Senior Product Designer in a new initiative. This is an opportunity to be the foundational member of a product team for an innovative early stage product. You will be a part of a collaborative team identifying the opportunities and helping create the products that transform mental healthcare for the better.
What you’ll be doing:
- Integrate commercial intuition, clinical understanding, provider efficiency, patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance into the design process
- Work with a cross-functional SWAT team of engineers, product managers, data scientists, and marketers to rapidly innovate and execute against company priorities
- Carry projects through all the steps of the design process, including: product and user research, insight synthesis, ideation, high-fidelity user interfaces and user experience designs, testing and validation, and post-launch activities/evaluations
- Establish a culture and development processes for best in class product design and quality
- Communicate and craft every detail of new product features from idea to user experience, to pixel-perfect execution
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success, inform decisions and optimize results
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform and influence the product strategy and direction
- Help everyone across the organization understand design decisions and progress through high quality documentation and guidance
What success looks like in this role:
- Launch an innovative, high-impact mental health product within 5 quarters.
- Deliver on market-leading usability and satisfaction (CSAT >4.5) for our users.
- Improve clinical tools and workflows, allowing us to measure clinical outcomes for >50% of recurring users.
- On-time delivery of a broad set of cross-functional design deliverables.
What we expect from you:
- 4-5 years of experience as a product designer at a software company contributing to and leading the design of product experiences. Experience in developing healthcare products is highly preferred but not required
- Experience working in an early stage startup environment, and a comfort with a high-growth, dynamic environment, and an ability to balance agility with consistency as business priorities, user needs, and our competitive environment evolves
- Experience partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science, as well as collaborating with external stakeholders, to create and deliver on a shared vision of success
- Strong communication skills for articulating, discussing, and advocating for design decisions. Effectively collaborate and communicate cross-functionally to solve problems.
- Ability to give engineers guidelines so that they can move forward without fully completed designs
- Use qualitative and quantitative data along with experiments to evaluate hypotheses and make decisions
- Genuine interest in building accessible and inclusive products. Understanding of latest accessibility and usability standards. Comfortable using and contributing to Design Systems
- Excellence in: product design, interaction design, information architecture, and copywriting. Front-end development skills are nice to have. Multiple examples of your ability to design best in class user interfaces. A portfolio of strong leadership and impact/metric-focused work
- Expertise with Figma and prototyping
- Love for design: you’re not satisfied with the status quo and always think of ways to improve
- An ability to navigate ambiguity, with a bias towards execution over process
The target base salary range for this position is $159,100 - $194,150, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
