About the team + role
The Customer Intelligence and AI (CIAI) team is a specialized Data Science unit within Corporate Strategy. Our goal is to deepen insights into customer behaviors and satisfaction using NPS, technical benchmarking and refine the application of data science, machine learning, and AI to improve customer experiences and operational efficiencies across the company.
We partner with several teams across Robinhood including: Data, Product, Marketing, Eng, Finance, and Research. Our work drives operational efficiency, company-wide strategy and is integrated into DS/AI pipelines.
The Technical Benchmarking Senior Associate/Manager will help develop and own the team’s Technical Benchmarking capabilities, in addition to taking on a range of research, analytical and reporting activities. This role will partner closely with our Competitive Benchmarking function.
As a member of the CIAI team, your day-to-day will include a mix of new technical projects (e.g. working with the LLMs to enable work streams), deep dives on areas of interest (e.g. evaluating Robinhood’s performance vs. competitors) and rolling responsibilities (e.g. updating models and monitoring the quality of data sources). In joining the team, you will support our efforts to measure company performance and improve decision making, in the most efficient way possible.
The ideal candidate will be a technical strategist, excelling in quantitative work such as modeling, statistics, and programming while being able to conduct research, analyze data and progressively take on more strategic responsibilities.

What you’ll do
- Analytics and LLMs: Working with our Competitive Benchmarking team to streamline, automate and enable the team’s output, including AI prompt writing, supporting LLM workflows and model maintenance.
- Data Management: Support team-level reporting by building processes to collect and synthesize information from a range of internal and external sources.
- Competitor Monitoring: Evaluate and monitor the reliability of external data sources and determine how they should be used by the business.
- Research and Reporting: Source, structure, and analyze data to contextualize RH’s performance and share the insights with the broader business.
What you bring
- 2-3 years of work experience in a role that blends analytics, data and business strategy (examples include analytics-focused roles at management consulting firms, investment firms, or technology companies).
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, statistics, engineering, etc.
- Intermediate SQL and Python skills. Familiarity with AI prompt writing, statistics and modeling is a plus.
- Robust analytical abilities and track record of developing data insights that generate business impact.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines across multiple work streams.
- Ownership mentality, utilizes creative approaches and knows how to get things done.
- Self-starter who can navigate ambiguity and an evolving work environment.
- Strong communicator who is able to influence decision making and engage audiences across functions.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
