The Tableau Developer is responsible for Tableau reporting and visualization and actively interfacing with business teams and external vendors. He/she will manage Tableau development and server upgrades and will collaborate closely with functional leads and business teams to ensure visualization and data representation are highly effective and interactive.
What You’ll Work On
- Design visualization architecture for converting data to meaningful information.
- Participate in architecting and implementing solutions that improve business process efficiency and accuracy.
- Interact with stakeholders across multiple business units and IT to understand requirements. Apply domain expertise to advise business units on best practices, processes, and system improvements.
- Gather and document business requirements, formulate use cases and participate in solution design activities.
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
- Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 3+ years’ Tableau development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project governance practices required. Comprehensive grasp of data visualization methods.
- Ability to create and tell a story with a set of elements within an Excel/Power BI environment.
- Strong Excel charting and pivot table experience, as well as proficiency with PowerPoint and Visio.
- Must possess strong attention-to-detail, strong individual initiative, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Working Conditions
- General office environment. Business travel from 0% - 10%. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 15 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use a computer, sitting for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Alameda, CAStarting Base Salary is $105,600/year - $161,200/year. Individual compensation will vary over time-based on factors such as performance, skill level, competencies, work location and shift.
