Your experience includes…
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Life Science, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing informatics solutions, particularly in an R&D setting, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of such experience.
- Proven experience working with Benchling, including configuration and data modeling.
- Experience in data analytics and visualization including dashboard and reports creation, preferably with Tableau.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and database design.
- Experience in software development including source control systems, secure code practices, etc.
- Demonstrated understanding of Agile software delivery and problem decomposition.
- History of successfully working in a cross-functional environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to work well with colleagues from diverse scientific backgrounds and cultures.
- It’s a bonus if you have:
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or another modern programming language.
- Understanding of analytical pipeline architecture.
- Experience with laboratory instrument systems, next generation sequencing (NGS) data and high-throughput screening data.
- Understanding of data management best practices and biological data.
- Experience with cloud-based software solutions (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of genetics and genomics technologies.
- Experience supporting drug discovery functions.
- Experience with metadata management including controlled vocabulary/ontology utilization.
