Coder is on a mission to build enterprise software that makes software developers’ lives easier and keeps them in flow. We’re looking for a Data Engineer on our Product team who will partner with Engineering to help us understand our open-source usage patterns (see telemetry.go) and discover opportunities for growth.
This position will begin in our Austin office (Oltorf/Congress 78704), with increasing hybrid flexibility once ramped in.
What you will do:
You will work directly with the product and engineering teams to write SQL queries, build/modify internal dashboards, and modify our in-product telemetry engine to collect additional usage data. Today our Engineering, Revenue, and Leadership teams regularly use telemetry to drive critical decisions.
Other projects beyond product telemetry may include:
Building company-wide dashboards around key metrics and KPIs
Automating & reporting open source issues, customer feature requests, and bug reports
Improvements to our core product (bug fixes or minor feature work)

Interview Process
We believe that the interview process should be consistent and enjoyable. We hope to get through the interview process in two to three weeks if schedules allow. During this time, you will be able to meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and leadership. If this position requires a take-home assessment, we will compensate you for your work and time after completion.
