This important role will use data aggregated from multiple sources to create novel data sets and develop actionable insights to directly enhance our customer experiences. The ideal candidate is technically advanced in SQL, comfortable writing and optimizing complex queries with the end game of developing a deep understanding of our customer data, how the business is performing and point of view on how to improve the status quo by effectively working with stakeholders. How Your Role Contributes to the Success of Vivid Seats:
- Play a key role in proactively identifying, communicating and implementing improvements across our marketing channels and data processes.
- Influence our path to innovation and efficiency by making data more accessible and actionable.
- Collaborate with thought leaders and cross-functional teams to bring forward-thinking solutions and consumer insights to the table.
- Analyze trends and identify areas of improvement, provide recommendations on next steps and proposals for testing iterations and optimizations to improve campaign performance.
- Build and maintain dashboards to measure performance, highlight insights for stakeholders and ensure data integrity, as well as respond to ad hoc data requests.
How Your Role Expectations Will Progress as a Senior Digital Analyst in the First 30, 90, and 180 Days:
30 Days In:
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of our business model, focusing on the marketplace dynamics and the analytics needs of our marketing teams.
- Build foundational relationships within cross-functional teams, understanding the interplay between analytics, product, marketing, engineering and operations.
- Complete a comprehensive dive into our customer data.
- Identify initial areas for quick wins in our current reporting and data handling practices.
- Tackle marketing analytics requests with efficiency, discern patterns from those requests, and proactively build and refine the reporting infrastructure in Snowflake and Looker to preemptively meet similar future needs.
90 Days In:
- Work with the team to identify and implement targeted campaigns in our CRM platform, analyzing results and suggested improvements for future campaigns.
- Build out models (ex. Recency, Frequency, Monetary) to continue to understand our customer base, creating actionable audience segmentations.
- Collaborate with the broader team on best practices for reporting, analysis, and dashboards, learning from others and applying learnings to current and future work.
- Conduct a thorough evaluation and implement enhancements to our reporting data structure, focusing on performance and long-term scalability.
- Present insights, findings, and progress to leadership, demonstrating early impacts.
180 Days In:
- Independently identify the true impact of various marketing channels (email, social media, paid advertising) and optimize marketing spend based on data-driven insights.
- Identify and implement deeper personalization within existing campaigns that align with broader team goals.
- Establish yourself as a thought leader within the Analytics team and the organization, driving innovative practices and novel analysis.
- Lead cross-functional projects with minimal oversight, directly contributing to strategic business outcomes.
- Be recognized as a crucial analytical resource across the company, embodying a proactive approach to problem-solving.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years of professional experience as Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Digital Marketing Analyst with web and app B2C marketing and CRM experience.
- Advanced SQL skills, especially in Snowflake, capable of optimizing complex data structures for performance and scalability.
- Demonstrated proficiency of Google Analytics data in analyzing customer behaviors and trends with understanding of GTM a plus.
- Expertise in Looker or other visualization tools like Tableau, Spotfire, or Power BI.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, fostering an environment of mutual respect and goal alignment.
- Highly motivated self-starter who is naturally curious and seeks out answers by diving into the data.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions to business challenges.
- Ownership mindset and the confidence to make independent decisions and drive projects forward.
- Effective communication skills to share findings and actionable insights with stakeholders.
