We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Science Manager to lead our Data Science team at Breeze Airways. The Data Science Manager will play a key role in leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall guest experience.

Here’s what you’ll do

Analyze complex data sets to extract actionable insights and drive business decisions.
Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Clean, preprocess, and wrangle data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problem statements, hypotheses, and success metrics.
Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and validate models.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and related fields to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
Contribute to the development and improvement of data infrastructure, tools, and processes.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the data science team.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in all data-related activities.

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

4-year degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, including Boot Camp completion
2+ years relevant job experience
Must have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related field, or professional certifications
4+ years data science experience

Skills/Talents

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaStrong knowledge of data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Expertise in machine learning techniques (e.g., supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning)
Proficient in statistical analysis and experimental design
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau)
Knowledge of SQL and database management systems
Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) techniques
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex data-related challenges
