The Daily Beast is looking for a Creative Strategy Lead to support the Marketing team with the creation, conception, and execution of campaigns for the brand and advertising partners. The ideal candidate:
- Has experience creating and executing content campaigns across multiple platforms, either for advertising partners, internal marketing, or both

The Creative Strategy Lead will act as an individual contributor sitting on the Marketing team and reporting to the VP of Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead marketing campaigns to support internal business initiatives (i.e.: membership, podcast, editorial franchises, newsletters and more) and deliver on KPIs
- Strategize and execute cross-platform advertiser campaigns that include on-site content, media tactics, social content, and events
- Collaborate with account, research, and sales teams to develop original pitches.
- Execute creative elements of both internal/brand and advertiser marketing campaigns, including copywriting, managing freelancers, developing and maintaining timelines, art direction, and developing and managing budgets
- Source and manage relationships with freelancers and vendors for production support
- Confidently manage projects from start to finish with modest amounts of supervision
- Develop sales materials around tentpole events, editorial concepts and new product launches.
- Craft pitch materials (including decks and emails) to a high standard
- Display confidence and effectively communicate with internal sales team and external clients
Ideal Skills/Experience:
- Approximately 4-6 years experience developing and managing brand or advertiser content marketing campaigns at a premium publisher or digital media agency
- High familiarity with content marketing best practices and the competitive publishing landscape
- Familiarity with events production
- Knowledge of creative landscape, cultural touchpoints, and zeitgeist.
- Ability to problem solve and think critically and creatively
- Proven record of managing multiple projects at once
- Ability to stay highly organized and efficient in a fast-paced, autonomous work environment
This role is for a HQ employee. Currently, this requires a minimum of three days per week attendance in our Chelsea office. This requirement may change based on the Daily Beast’s evolving plan for hybrid work.

The pay range for this position is: $75K - 85K per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and other factors. The range listed is just one component of The Daily Beast’s total compensation package.
