About the Role
The Motion Graphics Designer will report to the Director of SEO and be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and developing a high volume of quality, creative animated compositions based on provided SEO-optimized video scripts. This position will work closely with the entire marketing and design team.
- You will be responsible for drafting storyboard concepts, layouts for all motion graphic projects and directly collaborate with stakeholders.
- You will be responsible for producing multimedia deliverables containing high quality video and audio tracks for all SEO video projects
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of SEO-related video content globally
- Create a high volume of compelling educational videos that elevate the Keeper brand
- Design and create storyboard concepts; layout and design enticing motion graphics videos for various media platforms such as YouTube and TikTok
- Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements (audio, video, colors, animation) to enhance motion graphics
- Maintain and follow best practices for version control, naming conventions and organization of graphic files
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure videos meet brand standards and guidelines
- Evaluate new opportunities including expansion onto additional platforms
- Bring/present new ideas to the marketing and design teams for how to best use video across the changing online media landscape
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- 3+ years of video and animation experience
- A strong work ethic, ability to take ownership and to proof-check your own work with high accuracy.
- Team-oriented, coachable, open to input, fanatical about detail and persistent in your pursuit of excellence
- Creative thinker exhibiting a range of varied styles and techniques. Have the ability to visualize and bring early-stage ideas to life
- Strong design sense, and ability to effectively communicate complex concepts into digestible videos for consumers and IT professionals alike
- Working knowledge of sound mixing and color correction
- Strong understanding of post-production workflow and the latest production technology.
- Solid understanding of video formats and compression techniques
- Knowledge of typography and appropriate use of brand colors, images and fonts, allowing for effective legibility and functionality
- Efficiently communicate their ideas and solutions to problems
- Collaborative with high stakeholders and design team members
- Some knowledge/experience in 3D animation
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite; After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD and Premiere Pro and other tools such as Figma (Experience in Cavalry, Fable, Lottie and Blender is a bonus.)
- Experienced crafting animations for web (Video, SVG, JSON, webM and CSS)
- An online portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking and impeccable craft across a variety of projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics or equivalent
