Responsibilities
Rigorously test software and firmware to find bugs, performance issues and other defects that impact the quality, usability, and reliability of the product.
Plan and execute software testing and quality assurance activities, including writing test cases, creating test plans, leading quality reviews, and writing test reports
Identify, analyze, and triage bugs found throughout the software lifecycle and work with the broader development team to root cause and fix them
Develop and maintain software and system integration test environments, from unit tests, to virtual simulations, to integrated hardware-in-the-loop test benches
Build out Standard Bots’ test automation toolset to allow for integration of testing across the development lifecycle
Who you are
You are an exceptional troubleshooter and debugger, with strong attention to detail, an eye for potential defects, and an understanding of how end users think. You have experience with manual and automated software testing and have built or maintained automated test tooling. An ideal candidate will have experience working with software that drives complex physical systems in a domain such as aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, or industrial systems.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with software or firmware quality testing for hardware or embedded products, including both manual and automated testing
Strong understanding of software/firmware development processes and best practices, as well as software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks, including setting up and running hardware-in-the-loop or model-based validation test environments
Strong problem solving, analytical, and debugging skills
Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD methods for software delivery
Experience with verification and validation of safety-critical or mission-critical software
Exposure to hardware product development or manufacturing
