We are seeking eight (8) dedicated and highly skilled Mechanical/Structures Inspectors Level 2 to join our team in Valencia, CA. This critical role requires experienced professionals with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of quality assurance practices. What to Expect:
- As a Mechanical/Structures Inspector Level 2, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of aerospace products at various stages of the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for performing detailed inspections at our clients’ supplier in Valencia, ensuring that all incoming materials, in-process components, and final products meet stringent quality standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform incoming inspections of products and services from external providers, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of critical features, utilizing witness inspection techniques.
- Compile and verify final inspection sign-off sheets and inspection packages.
- Ensure inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects and verify the adequacy of inspection methodologies against drawing intent.
- Verify that products are free of gaps, mismatches, fairing issues, and meet acceptable contour and waviness standards.
- Ensure products comply with specified workmanship standards, including oil canning, riding conditions, loose fasteners, drill starts, scratches, dings, burrs, and fastener edge distance.
- Confirm that all visible part finishes, paint, and skin quality meet required visual standards.
- Check hardware cleanliness and the absence of internal or external foreign object debris.
- Verify the correct application of safety wire, proper fastener installation, and ensure continuous torque stripes from head to surface.
- Confirm completion of First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements and review FAI Reports for completeness, traceability, and compliance.
What You’ll Need:
- Extensive experience as a Quality Inspector, with industry and commodity-specific expertise.
- Proficiency in dimensional inspection of precision tolerance parts.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with all inspection tools.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex GD&T requirements and validate complex assemblies.
- Experience with multiple primary and secondary part numbers (e.g., brackets, clips, doublers, splices, brackets, drip shields, etc.).
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
