In this position, you will design, develop, and implement test strategies to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of the electrical components in our energy storage products. You will leverage your strong background in component-level reliability and functional testing of electronics to develop novel test plans and improve upon automated standards. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and have a direct impact on a revolutionary technology!
What you’ll do:
Develop and own comprehensive test strategies across electronics and safety systems throughout all phases of design. These components may include but not limited to BMS, cell level sensing mechanisms, and system sensors.
Lead complex problem solving and root cause analysis of concerns found throughout testing of both test equipment and units under test, and drive efforts to resolve such challenges.
Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop test cases and procedures covering a range of operating conditions and use cases. Be an active participant in DFMEA, PFMEA meetings to support efforts of highlighting concerns and creating validation plans.
Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in electronic component performance and reliability.
Deliver detailed test reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for design enhancements or corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall quality of our novel iron-air battery.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
4+ years of industry experience in electronics testing, preferably in the energy storage or related industry.
Expertise in creating test protocols, and validation plans, plus breaking down problems to root cause issues found on test.
Working knowledge of UL or ISO standards for electronics testing and experience developing internal standards
Experience using data acquisition hardware such as Dewesoft, keysight or NI. Proficiency using Python, SQL, MATLAB or equivalent software for data analysis. Familiarity with standard communication protocols such as CAN, RS232, LXI, or equivalent.
Proficiency in Python, ladder logic, Arduino IDE or equivalent for programming and controlling test equipment.
Proven experience converting data into meaningful conclusions and communicating them to a wide audience.
