Rhombus is looking for a FirmwareValidation Engineer who will be responsible for developing validation plans that will direct validation activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with C programming
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
- Experience in firmware validation in a client-based or enterprise environment
- Experience with User level Linux
- Experience with embedded software development
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Analyze embedded C source code to identify areas that require testing
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for firmware validation
- Conduct functional testing, regression testing, and performance testing to validate firmware functionality and stability
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including firmware developers, hardware engineers, and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve issues
- Utilize industry-standard tools and methodologies for firmware validation, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, standards, and best practices related to firmware validation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of validation processes, tools, and methodologies
This is an onsite position based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office 5 days a week.
Compensation
Base Salary: $80,000-$90,000
Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate’s primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
