Position: Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Hayward, CA
Experience Required: 3-4 years

Project Duration: Approximately 6-12 months (with potential for extension)
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team and work closely with our Manufacturing and Quality departments. The role focuses on enhancing supplier quality through rigorous process management and problem resolution. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to address and resolve quality concerns and will be proactive in collaborating with global suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee Inbound Quality Control (IQC) systems to ensure supplier quality standards are met.
Investigate and resolve quality issues identified in the production process.
Work hands-on with manufacturing and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Conduct thorough investigations to determine the root causes of quality issues and implement effective solutions.
Communicate clearly with suppliers worldwide to address and rectify quality concerns.
Provide technical insights and advocate for best practices when discussing quality issues with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
3-4 years of experience in a factory setting, including operational roles and managing supplier return processes.
Strong technical foundation, ideally in mechanical engineering. Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding or die casting is advantageous.
Proven ability to diagnose issues and develop creative solutions.
Experience in the automotive or consumer electronics sectors is preferred. Experience in start-up environments is a plus.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering is beneficial.
Mechanically adept with a solid grasp of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
Additional Information:
Onsite presence required 4-5 days a week, with some flexibility (based on a 40-hour workweek).
Salary Range: $90,000-115,000
