We are seeking a curious, detail-oriented, and hands-on Incoming/Outgoing Quality Technician to direct support our high volume manufacturing line. Daily operations involving in-house diamond products for both gemstone and technological applications. As part of our team, you will work alongside experienced professionals in process engineering, metrology, laser technology, and more. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain diverse experience and skills across various techniques and areas. The position involves hands-on work with metrology equipment, measurement preparation, and data acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and measurements of incoming materials and outgoing products to ensure adherence to specified standards. Utilize a variety of metrology tools and techniques to accurately assess quality.
- Identify and reject nonconforming materials, providing detailed reports and recommendations for disposition and corrective action. Ensure that all products comply with quality specifications before release.
- Identify quality issues and support investigations into quality excursions. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCAs) to address and resolve quality problems effectively.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance inspection processes and procedures.
- Work closely with internally and externally to communicate and ensure adherence to Diamond Foundry quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; college degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in material handling, auditing, and quality control with a strong understanding of incoming and outgoing inspection quality control processes.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and general computer skills are desirable.
- Experience in wafer fabrication, metrology measurements, and Quality Management Systems (QMS) is an advantage.
- Knowledge in MES, MSA, DOE, FMEA, SPC, RCCA, 8D, A3 is a plus.
