About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring optimal quality and reliability in the manufacturing operations. This role will be dedicated to managing the quality management system, identifying and resolving defects or issues by supporting the manufacturing teams to achieve a zero-defect process standard. Through data-driven decisions, this role requires defining best practices, developing calibration systems, and continuously improving quality standards to ensure both internal and external customers receive the product on time with minimal variation.

What You’ll Do
Ensure compliance with relevant FDA or ISO standards throughout all quality processes and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
Take full responsibility for the operation and management of the quality management system, aligning with Process Control Document standards.
Oversee the corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) processes for both materials and production methods.
Utilize cross-functional teams and tools such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and Design of Experiments (DOE) to address and solve issues.
Establish procedures that uphold and manage audits to support document control systems
Prepare quality reports and track actions to achievement of world-class quality, both internally and externally.
Monitor and report on key quality objectives and results.
Initiate and develop programs that drive continuous improvement in manufacturing practices.
Conduct training sessions for operational staff to enhance skill levels and knowledge for quality sustainability.
Regularly monitor and report on production line first pass yield.
Investigate quality discrepancies, recommend, and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.
Participate in cross-functional teams to address and complete safety, quality, or continuous improvement tasks within designated process areas.
Liaise with customers, providing necessary support and interface to meet quality expectations.
Develop and implement projects aimed at continuous improvement and process optimization.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree – Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering from a four-year university
Experience with FDA and ISO regulatory standards to enhance quality system compliance and operational excellence.
Minimum of two years of experience as a Quality Engineer, or Quality manager role
Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Demonstrated ability to interpret extensive abstract and concrete variables
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Current computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programs
Experience with SPC and other statistical techniques
Able to travel 5 - 10%
