Salary Range: 25 to 33 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-hour-wage)
LTA Research & Exploration is a seeking diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Gardnerville, Nevada as a Quality Inspector. In this role, you will assist in the verification of soft structure goods for our innovative experimental and certified airships.
Responsibilities
- Support the Quality organization in the control of R&D/production textiles, and other pertinent materials
- Evaluate the characteristics of products manufactured on-site, with 3rd party vendors
- Apply independent judgment to the production team to release materials according to engineering/quality specifications
- Generate and apply quality control standards, as required
- Perform incoming inspections within the supply chain
- Compiling data and logging results in an organized fashion
- Some travel is required, up to 25%
- Perform material testing using industry test standards
- Ensure that the calibration of all equipment is maintained and up to date
- Must be able to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), with overtime as needed.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with peers and other departments
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Textile Science, Chemistry, or another related field or high school diploma and required minimum years’ work experience in lieu of degree
- 1 – 3 years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment; previous textile or carpet industry experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/G Suite tools
- Six Sigma training preferred
- Previous experience as a quality technician desired

- Must be able to lift 40 pounds and perform essential functions of the position
- Personal Mode of Transportation required

The base rate for this role is $25-33/hour, which is determined based on experience, geography, and qualifications. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes a very competitive annual bonus, 401K Match, and other generous benefits.
