The candidate must have the ability to assess and analyze a wide range of information to draw conclusions on how to improve the security of our systems. The candidate will be a member of a growing SRE team and will be expected to collaborate in a distributed team environment. You will provide strong leadership through technical excellence and mentoring, and your contributions will be key to the success of Beyond Identity.
Ideally, candidates will be located in the Dallas areaa to facilitate in-person collaboration with our teams. This position is hybrid and requires a regular presence at our office a few days each week.
What You Can Expect to Do:
- Work with a highly collaborative team to build and maintain a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure platform that powers our microservices
- Build tools for automating code builds and create GitOps workflows for continuous delivery
- Oversee the complete application lifecycle including developing, building, testing, and releasing code
- Implement and integrate best practice security controls with both application code and infrastructure
- Identify and create service level indicators (SLIs) using historical data. Create realistic. service level objectives (SLOs) in order to meet SLAs
- Establish monitoring tools and the system wide observability necessary to support rapid response during service level interruptions
- Participate in On-Call activities, high-priority incident response, and disaster recovery activities
- Participate in post-mortem activities to improve overall company resolution times
- Have an “automate first” mentality around things such as incident response, infrastructure, monitoring, and play-books
- Provide technical leadership through mentoring, a commitment to technical excellence, accountability, transparency and skills development
- Stay up to date with the latest application SRE developments and trends to continually improve internal processes and tooling
- Assess current applications and architecture to determine where Site Reliability Engineering methodologies can be meaningfully applied
- Create an open, honest, accountable and collaborative team environment, providing timely and meaningful feedback
What we Hope You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar
- 3+ years of experience with programming including full stack development as well as system design
- 3+ years of experience with Agile, Site Reliability Engineering practices
- Demonstrated operational experience successfully supporting large scale cloud deployments; including areas such incident management, on-call, metrics and monitoring, and general observability
- Understanding of systems programming and networking; Global Service Load Balancing ( GLSB ), BGP, Network Redundancy, DNS, routing algorithms.
- Deep operational experience managing multi-region, multi-cloud large scale infrastructure (Cloud certifications a plus)
- Proven experience implementing scalability, availability, and resiliency principles
- Proven record applying SRE principles and tools used for Cloud-Native Applications including Terraform, ArgoCD, Micro-service Architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, Envoy, etc.
- Experience managing and deploying large scale cloud databases such as AWS Aurora, AWS Dynamo, Azure Cosmo, etc.
- Proven aptitude in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting critical SLAs and deadlines.

- Experience with the use and deployment of Nginx, Postgres, Redis, Memcached, GitLab/GitHub, and the Atlassian platform
- Experience with deployment tools such as Spinnaker, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins
- AWS Certified DevOps professional certification
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional/Associate certification
- AWS SysOps Administrator Associate
- Any security certifications
