Overview:
Are you passionate about building robust systems that empower teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize their applications with ease? We are seeking a talented Observability Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our observability platform, enabling our teams to gain deep insights into the performance and health of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement observability requirements and standards.
- Design and deploy monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions to ensure comprehensive visibility into our systems.
- Develop custom metrics, dashboards, and alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Continuously improve observability tooling and processes to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Drive initiatives to automate observability-related tasks and streamline workflows.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in observability and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions for complex distributed systems.
- Proficiency in at least one observability tool such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for developing monitoring and alerting scripts.
- Experience with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Solid understanding of networking, system administration, and security principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
