This position is in the Office of the Chief Climate Officer Development Finance Corporation (DFC). The DFC is the U.S. Government’s development finance institution and
works to mobilize and facilitate the participation of American private capital and skills in the economic and social development of emerging market economies. The Chief Climate Officer (CCO) serves as a key member of DFC’s senior management team and OCCO works closely with DFC’s business lines, Office of the General Counsel, and Office of Development Policy to drive investments that help create sustainable and inclusive global prosperity and stability.
The Consultant will provide a wide range of analytical and document production services to the CCO and OCCO staff on key areas of operation, including extensive market
research of emerging sectors in support of DFC’s Climate strategy, preparation of PowerPoint decks describing DFC and OCCO’s work to external audiences, drafting of memos for Technical Assistance Projects, and market mapping exercises in support of the Upstream team. In addition, the Consultant will be expected to be a technically competent utility player who can support on a range of other OCCO workstreams.
This position will include providing direct research, technical, and administrative support to special projects and partnerships that are run through the OCCO. This involves collaboration with staff within OCCO as well as in other business lines.
