How You Will Make an Impact
As the Staff Accountant l, you will be a vital part of our Accounting team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our operations across multiple sites. Your role will encompass various duties, from managing accruals and allocations to supporting SOX compliance and audit processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain the integrity of our financial data, streamline complex processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our accounting practices.
This role will be based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
- Manage accruals for COGS, including electricity, natural gas, water, and mining across 12 sites.
- Perform month-end allocations and reclasses, including those related to leases and specific site processes.
- Build and analyze Profit & Loss reports, ensuring data accuracy across 12 sites.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages, including SOX-compliant inventory rolls and GL detail reports.
- Populate tables and perform reviews for earnings releases and investor presentations.
- Ensure supporting files for 10K/Q reports are complete and SOX-compliant.
- Manage SOX documentation for month-end entries, and assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Perform XBRL tagging and maintain compliance.
- Enter and maintain new account data and request forms in the system.
- Manage prepaid schedules, intangible asset schedules, and reconciliations for prepaid expenses, intangibles, and accrued property taxes.
- Coordinate Reserve Committee activities, including summarizing meetings and booking sessions.
- Respond to finance and operations data requests, including pulling data for teams and answering vendor emails.
- Close accounting periods, perform account reconciliations, and manage payroll and WIP reporting.
- Handle ARO and lease maintenance entries, purchase orders, and project cost forms for assets placed into service.
- File $0 returns for sales/use tax monthly and manage financed insurance entries.
- Enter audit/property tax accruals on a monthly basis
- .Prepare building construction and conveyor reports weekly.
- Gather and reconcile data for PPE rollforwards and budgets vs. actuals on projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Previous internship experience or 1 year of experience
