In this position, the candidate will:
- Support project managers in the planning and execution of roadway design projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct engineering analysis and design for assigned projects.
- Designs complete projects or components of a project and prepares complete project documents.
- Apply engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- May assign work to junior engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.
- May be involved in the mentorship and development of junior level staff.
- May perform other duties associated with this role.
Qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
- Proficient in project scheduling tools and software.
- Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Commitment to quality and excellence.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
