Position Description:
The Inventory Specialist is tasked with managing the inventory for our Midland, TX warehouse. This role involves tracking incoming and outgoing parts, ensuring the warehouse is organized, and assisting with inventory management in NetSuite and UpKeep. Additionally, the Inventory Specialist will support operational part needs, initiate purchase requests for replenishment, and periodically travel to secondary inventory locations to perform inventory cycle counts and potentially replenish parts as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies for inventory management, including demand forecasting and reorder point analysis.
- Utilize the CMMS application UpKeep to track and maintain inventory levels.
- Use NetSuite to process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and conduct regular physical inventory counts to maintain accurate records.
- Efficiently stock the warehouse with spare parts and materials, ensuring proper organization and space utilization.
- Perform periodic inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
- Train and communicate standard operating procedures to operations teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies for specific projects.
- Travel as needed to secondary inventory locations for inventory audits and replenishment tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, accounting, or warehouse support required.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite, UpKeep, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is a plus.
