The Role
We are looking for a Market Research Analyst Intern who will focus on managing some corporate research projects. Our Intern will dive right in and get to know our business and operations and will ultimately become a contributing member of our team. This position requires strong communication, self-drive/motivation, and a dedication to excellence.
We are looking for Interns that are interested in the Federal Market and potentially working in the federal marketplace.
Work location: Reston, VA (Reston Town Center)
This role is onsite, candidate must be local for the duration of the internship.
Internship dates: June 3rd – August 2nd
Our internships are designed to provide:
• Opportunities to gain new skills and elevate the ones you already have, all in an agile, fast paced growth focused business setting.
• Hands-on experience and professional mentorship in the Federal Technology industry.
• Opportunities to connect and network with professionals who can provide you a better understanding of the industry and help you accomplish goals you can add to your résumé, this includes assigning you a formal sponsor and interactions with senior executives.
• At the conclusion of your internship, you will present a “value driven” idea for the organization to consider adopting into normal business practice.
About the Job: what it takes
• Market based research project directly connected to HV Federal’s strategic initiatives.
• This project will be based on market data tracking federal government spending, identifying addressable markets in several new business sectors we are identifying partnerships within.
The outcome of this project will be a white paper that estimates the size of HV Federal total addressable market (TAM) within the US federal government broken down by the business sectors and lines of businesses within the sector.
About You: critical skills and ability
• US Citizen
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in research, Technology, Business Admin
• Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.
• A lot of data-based research and strategy making will be required here.
• Ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels.
• Ability to be trusted with confidential issues and data
• Proven time management skills, with an ability to effectively establish and execute priorities in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Strong skills with Google Docs, Word and Sheets / Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
• We are looking for rising juniors and seniors.
