The Enterprise Operational Risk - Multifamily and Legal Focus - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Provide Independent Challenge on risk management activities performed by the first line of defense (1LOD), including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), risk assessments for new business initiatives, and strategic initiatives with a focus on Multifamily and/or Legal Risk.
- Evaluate application of methods, models, and analytical templates used to determine business areas that pose potential risks to the enterprise.
- Collaborate with team to evaluate and advise on the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise.
- Review processes to reduce risk using rigorous analysis.
- Partner with team to review and provide feedback to management on resolutions and control guidelines.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experience
- 2 years of risk management experience, 4 years of experience preferred.
Desired Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Risk assessment and management skills including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps and remediating risk
- Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
- Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
- Must be able to work with individuals having a different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively while working toward a common goal
