The Role
The Mechanical Engineer will be part of an innovative team that drives the technical aspects of our extraordinary products. You will be a part of taking our company global by creating product, processes and techniques designed to function around the world. This role will help conceptualize new forms, be deeply involved and invested in every aspect of the development and design of your idea and see it perform in its final state. You will ensure that our product is designed and manufactured to the exact specifications needed to be embraced worldwide.
Location
This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence at the Danbury, CT office 3 days/week.
Responsibilities
- Apply your knowledge of engineering principles and regulatory standards to creatively design products using SolidWorks while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the design
- Product categories will include bath and kitchen fittings, fixtures, accessories, bath furniture, and hardware
- Projects will consist of design, development, and testing of all aspects of mechanical components for bath/kitchen products
- Develop technical drawings for manufacturing and quality control
- Define and document product specifications and requirements
- Prototype and test functional concepts
- Support existing product with enhancements and customizations
- Interpret mechanical drawings for products and modifications
- Assist Waterworks Sales Team by interacting with architects, engineers, installers (general, mechanical, or plumbing contractors), end users, and building/code officials as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in related field
- Manufacturing/Production environment experience
- Strong communicator (verbal and written) with a desire to be part of a collaborative team
- Superior knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD and general computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Technical report writing skills
- Must possess a passion for accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be highly self-motivated with a genuine interest in our products
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Enterprise PDM
- Plumbing and Construction knowledge and rendering capabilities is a plus
