IT Operations Technician
As an IT Operations Technician on the Operations and Systems Delivery (OSD) team you will be responsible for performing various tasks to support and improve upon the operation of ABL’s end user computing devices, including workstations, mobile devices, MFPs, etc. The scope of infrastructure and technologies that you support can range from conference room AV systems to launch systems that control and support launch vehicles. You should be comfortable taking ownership of break/fix issues and service requests and escalating to the appropriate teams as needed. You are flexible, agile, and creative; you love the fast pace of a growing start-up and enjoy finding the root cause of problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deploy, configure and troubleshoot technology systems at corporate and remote launch sites, including workstations, switches, access points and peripherals.
- Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Office365 (including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Intune, and OneDrive), Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Linux systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software including workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, server, and networking equipment.
- Effectively document problems and solutions through an internal ticketing system.
- Perform asset inventory management, including monitoring, reporting, patching, and procurement.
- Provision new users with appropriate hardware/software and providing training as needed.
- Provide hardware and software support to Launch and Test operations consoles and networks at corporate campus and remote launch sites.
- Build, install and deploy enterprise IT infrastructure such as installing network racks, mounting access points, and cable management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field; or 6+ years of professional experience, in lieu of a degree, in an internal IT support environment
- 2+ years working with enterprise networks, switches, and wireless infrastructure providing support for enterprise IT services and workstations
- 2+ years’ experience supporting Windows and Mac devices including configuration and troubleshooting
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service skills
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting and equipment support experience
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong understanding of IT best practices and technical protocols such as ITIL, TCP/IP, SMTP, 802.11, Ethernet, etc.
- Team-oriented and skilled in working collaboratively
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to travel 25% of the time.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer to complete assignments.
- Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment.

This position requires access to information protected under US export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.
