Pendo is looking for a Sr. Contracts & Legal Operations Specialist to join our Legal team. This role will provide support for a high volume of contract negotiations with customers as well as global vendors and technology service providers. This role will assist us in building our sales, procurement, and third-party risk management functions.
Role Responsibilities
Contract Negotiator
- Manage the contract lifecycle flow from intake to execution, including maintaining and managing contracts and electronic databases
- Act as principal point of contact between sales, customers, and legal for providing guidance related to the company’s commercial contracting requirements and processes, including communicating standard responses and gathering further information, as required
- Review, draft and negotiate a variety of contracts, including nondisclosure agreements, master services agreements and statements of work within established procurement guidelines
- Successfully advise and educate sales teams and other internal stakeholders on legal processes and provide ongoing guidance and coordination throughout contract lifecycle
- Lead or participate in projects to improve internal processes and build for scale
Legal Operations
- #Showmethedata! Pendo thrives on data and so does our legal department. You will build out data insights to our contracts data and other legal work using our tech stack and compile presentations for the executive team and sales leaders.
- #wintogether! You will work closely with our DPO, Security, Sales, Ops and other stakeholders to build out our vendor onboarding repository with legal guidelines.
- #biastoact! You will identify opportunities for improvement in our contracts management processes and help to create an even more efficient legal sales cycle for our revenue org and legal team.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Significant experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a range of commercial contracts
- Experience with SaaS, IT or technology contracts is a plus, as is familiarity with information security policies.
- Experience establishing or supporting contract management processes, procedures and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous in-house legal experience
- CIPP/E or CIPP/US certification
- GDPR familiarity and knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
- An open and curious mind about an evolving industry, humility, and a terrific sense of humor

Compensation
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in: Raleigh, NC $84,000 - $105,000
Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
