Writing test will be part of interview process. Reports to Director, Business Communications.

Background: Ideal Candidate:
- BS/BA degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field.
- 8+ years’ related experience from corporate, agency, trade publication, journalism, etc.
- Knowledge and interest in financial news.
- Previous experience working for publicly traded company in external communications role.
- Media relations experience with top-tier media, including financial news outlets, trade publications, social media, etc.
- Develops media relationships, arranges interviews, takes inquiries, etc.
- Preferred experience in: global communications across geographic regions, B2B environment, media relations. Financial journalism
- Creative, strategic thinker/storyteller. Solid news judgement, high energy, flexible, detail oriented.
- Familiar with communications technology, including/similar to: Business Wire, Muck Rack, SharePoint, Microsoft Suite, etc.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Creates & executes effective external communications strategies, including for social media, backed by solid metrics-driven approach.
- Proven success translating complex ideas into simple, compelling communications.
Responsibilities: Breakdown of time (approximate):
- Overall: 50% strategic communications, ideas. 50% Hands-on.
- 30%: Financial Communications
- 30%: Executive communications – CEO positioning, awards, trends, opinions, op-eds, maintain IR website,
- 40%: Corporate level sustainability, employer of choice, social media
- Strategize and lead proactive external communications initiatives to protect and promote company’s brand and reputation.
- Lead development/execution of communications of corporate-level initiatives, such as acquisitions.
- Promote strategic top-tier media coverage of business or other initiatives
- Work with existing tools to develop media lists that are actionable and up to date.
- Lead corporate organic social media strategy and presence, work closely with digital team.
- Tap experience and creativity to strategize/promote external visibility of executives, including interviews, panels, awards, etc.
- Help ensure executives are well-prepared for opportunities.
- Help deliver corporate sustainability narrative.
- Step in as called on for writing, editing, consulting, handling media inquiries, etc.
- Collaborate with colleagues across global Communications team & key colleagues across businesses and corporate functions.
