The Role The Power BI Analyst role at the HuFriedy Group evaluates and develops performance review processes for the Continuous Improvement (CI) team. This role will also work with management to define business objectives and establish KPIs to manage objective outcomes. The Power BI Analyst will provide recommendations to senior management that leverage the outcome of empirical data analysis. Remote: Chicago IL, Rochester NY or Phoenix AZ locations preferred What You Will Do You will work with the senior management team and operation-level managers to design and maintain BI-based reporting including, but not limited to the following functions: Develop graphs, reports, and presentations. Perform basic statistical analyses. Design, create, & present dashboards Develop recommendations based on reporting Work as a member of the business intelligence team, participating in defining the requirements for data warehousing and analytical data structures. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and introduce policy recommendations based on complex data. Analyze and resolve issues with current and planned reporting systems Duties - cont'd Drive results by reviewing the analysis and performance metrics with key management personnel Design data models, build reports and data visualizations Performance to other strategic initiatives as defined by senior management Compile information from various databases and data systems so that collected data can be integrated and applied to management-level reporting. Work with a variety of technologies to design and develop and distribute business intelligence solutions. What You Will Need to Be Successful Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years or more of experience in Power BI designing, analyzing, translating, and presenting complex data into management information with operations and/or manufacturing data. Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualization techniques. Experience translating and documenting business needs to technical requirements. Experience creating data validation review processes and test plans. Advanced technical knowledge of Power BI, required. Ability to present complex information understandably and compellingly and to provide actionable recommendations. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills with an ability to effectively execute tactical plans. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with developing and implementing educational curriculum on reporting definitions and capabilities, preferred. Key knowledge of statistics sufficient to interpret, apply, and communicate the meaning of captured statistical results, preferred. Understanding of business analytics related to sales, operational, financial performance, preferred. Ability to read and write basic SQL, preferred. Experience with Tableau, Crystal Reports, advanced MS Excel, and PowerPoint, preferred. SAP experience, preferred. Pay range for this opportunity is $58,250.00 - $81,637.50. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
