Relationship Manager Job Description

The Relationship Manager role is remote with occasional in-person work and based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Duties include remotely attending regular staff meetings via Zoom and utilizing company facilities for client meetings when necessary. The salaried position has a standard workweek of 40 hours and receives a laptop and a cell phone stipend. The starting salary for this position is $50,000-$65,000 based on experience. Duties include:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and hub of communication between clients and a team of grant writers
- Determine and define the scope of work for various grant applications in coordination with client objectives
- Develop and manage a detailed project workflow for each client’s grant program
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to clients about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage resources - such as grant writer assignments, time worked, and other outputs – in an effective and efficient manner
- Oversee the quality control process of grant writing; ensure that applications meet minimum quality requirements and deadlines
- Measure grant writer performance and key client performance metrics
- When needed, provide grant writing support, coaching, and/or training to improve quality and output metrics
- Manage a team of 2-3 staff grant writers
- Serve as a member of the management team
- Assist the CEO with other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
- At least three years of project management experience
- At least three years of nonprofit and/or fundraising experience
- Grant writing experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in both team and autonomous environments
- High proficiency working with online project management and donor tools such as Asana, G-Suite, Zoom, Candid, various CRMs, and other Cloud-based software systems
