Short Story is a first-of-its-kind platform dedicated to styling petite women and helping them discover new products. We’re hiring a Styling Team Lead to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for fashion, excellent time management skills, loves working with all kinds of people, and has a client focussed mindset. You should have interest in startups, e-commerce, and tech. You will report directly to Styling Leadership. You will be responsible for successfully managing a team of 20-30 remote, part-time Stylists. The ability to work cross-functionally to execute projects and drive results is a must.
Day to Day
- Management. Manage, develop, and inspire. You will directly manage a Team of 20-30 part-time remote stylists and ensure your Team is meeting all business goals as well as styling and delighting clients yourself.
- Business Operations. You will own your Team's operational functions including schedule compliance, box completion, time-off/sick time, and hour approvals.
- Training. You will lead All Stylist Calls, host 1:1’s for each of your Team members, onboard new Stylists, and create an engaging and rewarding employee experience.
- Coaching. Coach your team members to improve overall Styling success and execute personalized performance plans when needed.
- Interview. Assess new Stylist candidates, conduct interviews, and help in the overall hiring process.

Qualifications
- You have strong leadership experience and excel at managing large teams of people
- You have amazing verbal and written skills
- You are organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, and have a growth mindset
- You have a strong analytical background and well versed in Excel and Powerpoint
- Must have high interest in e-commerce, fashion, consumer brands, and emerging technologies
- You must be comfortable working on a small team where your ideas and efforts will have direct application.
- Previous experience working in e-commerce or a tech startup is a big plus
